Extreme Measures

Genesis 27:18-29

I have had occasion over the last few weeks to discuss with friends this story of the “Stolen Blessing.” What I have learned is two things. One is that the story is familiar to all, not surprising one bit. Number two is that there is a common perplexity regarding the story outcome. I often heard something like, “once he knew he was deceived, why Isaac didn’t just take back the blessing?” That is really great question. A question we want to explore. Before we do, I wanted to take a quick time out to explain to the Moot House men why my motivation to camp on this story. I invite you to listen in. I hope it is helpful.
