Today we continue our examination of John the writer’s closing comments in chapter three. Our attempt is to understand how his first century readers would have understood what John was saying. In doing so we have attempted to frame John’s words within the context of what was occurring at the time he wrote his gospel account. This portion of the book requires a deep slow dive in order to understand what John is saying. Through our efforts we hope to better understand what is to follow.
