One Man’s Journey (session 106)

Genesis 32:27-28, “A New Name”

 

Jacob asked for a blessing but he received a new name. To re-name indicates something new has occurred. That is certainly true at this juncture in Jacob’s life. From this day forward Jacob will be known as Israel. Not only will that but from here on an entire nation will come to derive its identity from this new name.
