Genesis 34:1-12, “Blank Check”

 

Historically, the story of Dinah has been a bit challenging in regard to understanding it in relation to the larger story of Jacob and his journey. For this reason we now pause to look at what I think are a few key factors to its interpretation. We will then observe young Shechem’s offer and discuss what this offer could mean to all who are involved.
