Genesis 35:5-8 “Re-naming A Significant Place, part 1”

 

Jacob returns to Bethel. What memories must have filled his being after so many years and so much life lived. This place of promise and this place of now realized fulfilled promises from God Almighty must have brought Jacob to his knees in absolute gratefulness. He does a very interesting thing. He now re-names this place. Of course, our question is why? Let’s take a look.
