Genesis 36-50 Overview

 

Today we begin a new section by introducing an overview comparison of Jacob’s first half of life with his second half. The line of demarcation, from my perspective is when Jacob verbally acknowledges his fear (Genesis 31:31). His acknowledgement was a big step. Coming to grips with one’s own limitations as in Jacob’s example, his fear, is actually the beginning of a much larger life even though it doesn’t feel like it at the time. Let’s take a look.
