Genesis 46:1-7, Snapshot #4 continued

 

Jacob was approximately 130 years old when he moved to Egypt. We know of course that his motivating factor was to be reunited with his long lost son, Joseph. However, what about the promise of the land? Yes, we know there is famine in the land but regardless at age 130 I’ve got to believe that at least on one occasion, Jacob thought, “I’m too old for all this.” For those of us puzzled over the outcome of this stage of life, hopefully we can gain some understanding and hope for the days yet to be lived.
