We have been looking at the early phase in a man’s life characterized by the word ascent. We have identified key factors that contribute to a healthy development during this stage of life. When these factors are missing a deep deficit is created within the young man. As we examine Jacob’s brother Esau we see such a deficit. But yet much later in life at the reunion of the two brothers this man extends forgiveness and grace to his brother. Today our focus will be on this reunion. We hope to gain understanding of the why under-lying Esau’s loving response.
